Sorrow
It's a classic American scene
A married couple fighting
threatening to leave one another.
The woman who is angry
in this classic scene
begins to cry uncontrollably.
The couple appears to be overwhelmed and distraught
to be fighting over something so foolish...
in the center of their home.
To think they could yell such offensive phrases!
Now they know what it is like to loose
the person they loved.
In the awkward silence and the pain left by their words
they both begin weeping and realize they are
each other's only family. They realize that they are a family.
The feeling of heartbreak
through no one else's fault but their own, is common.
Thats why I say, this is an American Classic
(Inspired by Louis Simpson)
