Future Fears
I feel at peace as I walk through the park
The sun begins to set, and the sky becomes dark
As the night sets in I begin to think
Everything I know could change in a blink
I walk down the path I begin to look back
Childhood memories that my future will lack
Swinging in the park and laughing with friends
Forever wishing I could relive those moments again
As I move on and getting ready for college
I thank my childhood for the wealth of knowledge
The bitter sweetness of change is sinking in
Excited and scared for my new life to begin
