What shimmering light
Tis this heavens gaze
Into the twilight
Though the light ablaze
What soft pale splendor
Such radiant visions
Laid upon thee alter
The savior of Christians
Who’s torn flesh
May purify thy soul
As the soldiers thresh
Your disciples condole
Yet lament not his death
For we are saved through his flesh
