True me
TRUE ME
The rays pierce my eyelids so I can see
Give me a dose of reality
Let me breathe out the air of animosity
For I need to revive the true me
I reach out my hand and except my tears
My love, my hate and even my fears
Caress my future and hold close the past
For I have dreams that will surely last
Give me strength a sign, a way
Give me hope, courage, give me a new day
A new sense of smell, a new way to see
For I need to revive the true me
Perceive things the way I should
If it were easy, then I would
Wipe away the mirror full of smog
Get myself out from under the fog
Break through barriers of my own threshold
Bring in knowledge, as I grow old
Allow an epiphany to widen my eyes
For now I know it is time to revive
