Six Room Poem- the Tell-Tale Heart
This large dark building traps me inside with this old wrinkly man. The light rain drops cover the window. The dark green forest outside holds many dangerous animals. The eerie light from my lantern shoots directly at the old mans eye. The occasional flash of lightning illuminates the room only for a second. The constant rythm of the old mans heart beats in my ear. The putter-patter of the raindrops fills the room. The slow panicked breath of the man shows his fear. How long have I been here? Why does this an have such an evil eye? Does this man know what I think of him? Strangely. I am very calm and still in this room. His eye however terrifies me inside. I am ready and prepared for what I am about to do. Evil Eye. Evil Eye. Evil Eye.
