Cigarettes
You have a grip on me.
You control my breathing.
It’s you that I need.
But you’re good for nothing.
For five and some change I can get 19 just like you.
You have over 400 chemicals and you’re addicting.
When people smell you on me they say ew.
But as bad as you are you were there when no one else was.
You calmed me down and made me think.
Sometimes I needed you just because.
And most times I stop at the ink.
You’ll be the death of me.
