Chaos
Chaos is thousands upon thousands of ideas,
Ricocheting off the walls of the mind.
The shattering of a delicate heart,
A piece for every grain of sand on the beach.
Chaos is silence,
Echoing in an empty room.
The constant brush of shoulders
On a crowded street.
Chaos is a pathway of thorns,
Leading to brillance.
The expansion from what was, to what is,
And to what will be.
Chaos is the enormity of the universe.
The complexity of each star;
Shining brightly, demanding to be seen,
Like each thought screaming to be heard.

I started writing this piece thinking it was just going to be another creative writing assignment but it quickly turned into something much more signifcant. This poem is what made me start writing again. It isn't perfect but I see potential in it. It is written about something extremely personal and it was a great way to express it.
