Midnight Labyrinth
My greatest fear is one
That many children share
Darkness
But not in the way you might expect
You see, I’m not scared of the absence of light
No, not that kind of darkness
I’m scared of the darkness inside of my mind
That darkness is truly terrifying
And the dark thoughts
Are not what scares me
I’m more scared of having
No thoughts at all
The kind of darkness that is so deep
So immensely thick
That you lose yourself within it
And the worst part is
Once you get lost
You’re stuck
Inside the midnight labyrinth
