My mama taught me how to dance
My mama taught me how to dance.
She taught me how to swing,
she taught me how to ballet,
she taught me how to jazz,
and she taught me how to tap.
My mama taught me how to dance.
She taught me in the morning,
She taught me in the afternoon,
She taught me in the evening,
And she taught me in the night.
My mama taught me how to dance
We danced on the morning sun rise,
We danced on the afternoon sun,
We danced on the evening sunset,
And we danced on the night sky stars.
My mama taught me how to dance.
We danced on the morning wet due,
We danced on the afternoon green meadow,
We danced on the evening big hill,
And we danced on the nights darkened shadows.
My mama taught me how to dance.
She taught me in front of grandma,
She taught me in front of grandpa
She taught me in front of aunty,
And she taught me in front of uncle
My mama taught me how to dance.
She told me that practice makes perfect,
She told me to never give up,
She told me to do my best,
And she told me I was her dancing baby.
