More Than Just A Sport
Walking onto the court
With my head held high
To me, it’s much more than just a sport
Sometimes I feel like I can fly
Everything else disappears
All the hours of hard work
With all the sweat and tears
Until I experienced a knee jerk
My whole world fell apart
Everything that I knew no longer exists
I had to learn how to use my heart
I had to find a way to persist
When life knocks you down
You have to stand up and keep going
You can’t let yourself frown
A long road that has had me growing.
