Sweet Serenity
International flights, many hours long
Crossing countries, crossing oceans
Hearing you’re about to land is like a beautiful melody
Since you’re about to be where you’ve wanted to be all along
Finally arrived, safe and sound
Eager to get my summer started
And my family waiting to be found
Hugs of reunitement, the best time of year has finally begun
No time gone to waste, summer is a race
Beating time to get to do all the things I have desired
This is a country full of adventure all over the place
And now the sea is calling my name
The crystal blue glimmering water
Plays tug of war with the sand
I feel like I am the ocean’s daughter
Filled with soothing, sweet serenity
There are endless places I am desperate to see
I know for a fact I have caught a beautiful disease
New destinations are a stunning mystery to me
This disease is wanderlust, and Lebanon is a country that has given it to me
