Glass Dreams Shattered
Pressure’s getting to me, getting hot
This life is taking away all I’ve got
Pennies in a jar, Jar’s on a desk
Jar’s broken now and where’s the rest
There she lies on a cold tile floor
No one to help, Not anymore
A little girl crying over a spilled ice cream cone
Momma ain’t gonna buy you a new one
Pennies scattered, Broken glass
The pressure forces me into the grass
Blood on lips, Bruises on thighs
A strange kind of lovely before my eyes
On my bed I go to sleep
To join the girl who could only weep
I shut my eyes, My lips and nose
Even my little toes grow cold
Now I’m buried beneath the earth
The gentle blackness is my hearth
I’m not happy, I’m not sad
I’m done existing and I’m glad
