A Change in the Music
In the distance there was a tune named Echo, a soft painfully beautiful tune,
No one could hear it, for it was quiet and lonely,
and it was only played by the light of the moon.
An Echo was all it was, for she was the only.
She felt it,
she was the only one,
she tried to be louder, but she had no spirit
for she was surrounded by none.
She tried and tried to make herself louder
but she had no support
she failed, and made herself less prouder
As her tune fell short.
There was a cold gust of wind
whispering, “You must let go
You have to change your frame of mind
and take it soft and slow.
She felt the wind leave,
she wanted to give up
as the song she tried to weave
like a first born pup.
As her voice raised
she felt her confidence do the same
the tune amazed
and her head removed the shame.
As she sang, the other music heard.
she sang her whole heart out
they say she was just like a bird.
as she lifted her voice to a shout.
She was no longer alone
the strength she held
she made her voice known
her whimsical voice compelled.

This poem is about me. When I was younger I felt like no one could heat me, no matter how loud I screamed. The thing is that for them to hear me I had to hear myself. Whenever I spoke it was for others, never had I spoke a word that meant any thing to me. I want everyone who reads this I have confidence and be proud because whatever you have to say not matter how small is still important.
