Think of life as a journey
And all will come clear
And God’s your attorney
Protecting you when you fear
It all starts with your birth
Then you age through the years
Every day has great worth
Though some contain tears
Then as you go from four legs
To the two that you’ll need
You grow out of the pegs
That made you take heed
You venture alone
Into the cold, lonely world
You get your own phone
To call help if you quarrel
You finish your school
And get your own job
You buy a house with a pool
Careful not to be a slob

You carry on in your life
With your newly wedded wife
And from two legs to three
You soon live strife free
As you near your end
You look back at your wife
You wonder about your friends
What you did with your life
You sit down and think
What you could have changed
As you near the brink
What could’ve been rearranged
But let me tell you
No matter what you think
If to yourself you stay true
You could look back and wink
It is all okay
It now can’t be changed
As you sit back and lay
Think about you in a positive way
