The End of Night
The sphere comes over the horizon,
Slowly rising
In the bloodstained sky
So far away,
Nothing compares to the majesty
Of this stunning orb.
The bright orb
Inching its way up the horizon
Only adds to its majesty.
As it is rising,
The fear of night goes away,
And the crimson intensifies in the sky.
The mysterious sky,
Home to the mysterious orb
Residing in a place far away,
Yet every morning comes over the horizon,
Gently rising.
Every waking moment increases its majesty.
What are we to such majesty?
A righteous being looming in the sky,
Every day rising.
The colossal orb
Looks so small on the horizon,
But is it so far away?
Paces, miles, light-years away
Stands the great ball of fire, a burning majesty.
Emerging on the horizon,
Its light purging the inky sky.
Ending the formidable night, the fiery orb
Signals hope with its rising.
The heat reaches me while it is rising,
Making me wonder how far away
Is that beautiful orb?
Nothing compares to its majesty,
At least on God's green earth. The sky
Opening up possibilities on the horizon.
Its rising is just the beginning of its majesty.
So far away, lighting up in the sky,
The great orb advances on the horizon.
