Woman
When will I be good enough for you?
You push me this way and that, but what is true?
I eat this and you call me fat.
I don’t eat and you say I need help.
My hair is cut short and you call me a dyke,
But then it grows long and its something you don’t like.
Make sure to wear make up and hide your frown
However, wear too much and they call you a clown
I wear a tank top and you whisper “whore”.
I wear a turtle neck and you call me a bore.
Too short or too tall,
Too big or too small,
You as society push women to fall.
You push us to be the best,
But don’t surpass all of the rest
We carry your future in our wombs.
Yet, when men enter we are still pushed to the back of the room
I am trying to be the perfect woman loving and true,
But now am I good enough for you?
