Time Creeps Up on You

The sensation of adrenalin, rushes through my veins
The wind howls, trying to hold me back
I stop for a second and look around
Time creeps up on you
The sun glares down at me from the sky
Slowly fading, I hear the finish line calling my name
Before you know it, time creeps up on you
They sky as dark as coal
The moon plays hide and seek with the clouds
Time never waits for anyone
Dead streets, I make my way home
Feeling weak,
Time creeps up on you
