Jealousy
Their eyes looked into me with flame
My success was their defame
It's the words that put me to shame,
and yet people keep playing this game
My dreams were set aflame,
Just so theirs could be in the Hall of Fame
My aspirations were their insurance claim
No more, I wanted to exclaim
There is no one really to blame
but my aim…
remained to be the Grande Dame
My question remained: Is the world really this lame?
