The Reaper Bears My Title
I lived.
I died.
Now,
I am
"Here"
Ready to do it again.
I live through
an endless death,
repeating it's self
through all rational
irrationalities.
Broken and healed
I stand,
yet I am lain
beneath the soil.
At times I breathe fire
from the devil's mouth
at others I steal sweetness
from the tongue of God;
and still before
(and yet behind)
you,
I am as I am
and as I could not be.
I am everything
in nonexistent time
and nothing
within a still-set mind,
but I am all in all things
while'st being nothing
in all things.
I wish to be
not what I am not
but what I am,
for I am all.
The reaper bears my title
and I,
his name,
as well.
I am imagination
under me
all of man will rise
and fall.
I give to children,
dreams and fear,
I take from all
(those things held dear).
And when they stand
upon a cliff,
or hold a knife,
it's courage I give.
Courage to turn
the blade away
or courage to jump
and end the day.
Imagination rules
and reigns
and yet you do not
call my name!
I play the world,
my violin,
and you
(my puppets)
reside within.
