Think about what you’re about to do:
You know the cost you’ll have to pay.
They’ll make an example out of you.

You’ve had more than just “a few”.
The burning scent radiates from a mile away,
Think about what you’re about to do.

You’ve seen firsthand, the ugly view.
All the pain, how suddenly everything seems gray.
They’ll make an example out of you.

You have a family to think of, too.
People who love you, need you to stay.
Think about what you’re about to do.

If you get in that car you know it’s through,
You won’t wake up, won’t ever again see the light of day.
They’ll make an example out of you.

Don’t become someone we once knew.
“Make him realize,” to God I pray.
Uncle please, think about what you’re about to do,
They made an example out of you.
