Freedom
Free
The sun scorched, lit, drained, burned, and ate the skin off her back.
She glared at the ball of fire in the clear blue sky, trying not to break concentration but
it won, it always wins.
She turned her head fast facing the barren and cracked earth.
Her eyes averted from the ground to her tan, and blistered legs.
The flesh, open, and dry.
A loud clap from above made her shudder and hide.
On her leg she noticed what looked like a single bead of a clear liquid substance.
She was not entirely sure of what it was.
She gently touched the surface, and the bubble burst
and a cool, refreshing, almost stinging sensation shivered up her leg.
Before she knew it, a dozen little bubbles ended up all over her body.
She was now completely saturated, and free from the hot chains of the sun.
