True Nature
How on earth did we get here?
My heart you took and wove with fear.
Blue ice eyes laced with lies.
Pierce my soul, ignore my cry.
Hard stone hands outstretched for me.
Hold the key, I can't be free.
Jet black hair mimics your heart.
I fight and struggle to pull apart.
My love for you was true and real.
Stole my life, trained me not to feel.
Your rough voice kept calling my name.
But never did you feel the same.
Shoved to a corner, completely ignored.
a box of emotions set aside to store.
Thrown on the floor, glass all around.
Your true nature I now have found.

This piece was written right after a breakup, when I realized the "true nature" of the guy.
