Black
Black is mystery
It is the presence lurking in the shadows
Black is deception
It is the betrayal and dissimulation we feel
Though it may symbolize darkness,
With the thought of no hope and love to be restored
It also signifies power and control,
Where weakness is not an option
Black gives us comfort, and protects us from the world
It absorbs us, it makes us
The insecurities we feel are covered by black
It hides the vulnerability that eats us alive
It seems as if we want to be invisible
But we are held back by showing our true colors
The bright blue of our souls, the vibrant white of our smiles,
held hostage by black
While balck may mean the end of something, with the illusion of not going back
It always signals the start of a new beginning, a new life
It wants us to stay hidden, bottle things up from the world
But we must overpower that, and share things instead

I hope people get from this poem that there are more aspects to black then darkness.
