Glasses
My glasses help me see what others cannot.
Without them he seems perfectly fine,
Laughing, playing and trying his best.
He just wants to fit in like all of the rest.
My glasses help me see what others cannot.
With them I can tell he has pain in his eyes,
Scared to go home for fear of what's to come.
He lives a life in which he cannot escape from.
My glasses help me see what others cannot,
Like those bruises hid under his sleeves
Or that broken leg he got just last week.
He did not listen when they said not to speak.
My glasses help me see waht others cannot.
Trapped in his room, help never came.
All I can do now is guide his way.
That little boy got his glasses today.
