Blue Eyes

Four eyes that make up of the the billions of trees on this earth. Four completely different eyes that are rooted into the ground like a parasite to its host. My sister’s eyes follow suit like my dad’s and are like a cup of hot cocoa after a day of sledding. They are like the warm cup when it touches your lips and the array of colors you feel when you first taste the chocolate. The familiar warm brown color. My eyes are the bland grey color but seem to change depending on the seasons. Never blue, never green, always one color but never the other.
My mom’s eyes are like the world under the ocean. They are a light blue green that flow like a river. You could get lost in the blue like it was an ocean, the deep refreshing color of the sunset as you gaze out into it and watch the dolphins jump joyfully leaving the barbaric black shadow you eyelids when you watch them cross over the sun. The fresh air and and the cool sea air the blows your hair back while you sip on an ice cold drink. The ocean, endless beauty that never ends and there is always more to discover, more to find, more to endlessly watch. The blue ocean eyes, the blue ocean eyes.
