Prejudice
In this land in which we live,
people judge based on skin.
The complexion of our pigment matters too much,
although we all came from the same place above.
People judge based on skin,
even though there's goodness within.
Although we all came from the same place above,
we sometimes forget that God doesn't judge.
Even though there's goodness within,
people are blinded by other things, like race, money, and diamond rings.
We sometimes forget that God doesn't judge,
we disregard equality due to the trials life brings.
People are blinded by other things, like race, money, and diamond rings.
Blinded by what society told them to believe.
We disregard equality due to the trials life brings,
but when we are allowed to be ourselves it shows we are free.
Blinded by what society told them to believe,
our world itself is now on the brink,
but when we are allowed to be ourselves it shows we are free.
In this land in which we live.

I wrote this pantoom in class as an assignment over a book, but i decided to relate it to the more common aspects in our modern day society, such as injustices and inequalities, which i believe is THE biggest issue we have to face as of now.
