Shaquetta Wood: Annabelle Lee parody
It was about a week ago or so,
In the house in the in the hood,
A cool chick lived,
By the name of Shaquetta wood;
And this chick lived with no other thought
Than to fix her weave,
She liked to fix it a lot.
When she was a child,
In the house in the hood,
She was often ignored,
And misunderstood;
Until she met Dupree,
A guy as beautiful as can be.
And after that,
About a week ago,
They hung out in a club called “The Flow”,
They would dance and sing,
Until next spring,
The hoodlums in the hood,
Would make fun of their dance,
Saying aww look at their pretty prance;
No one understood their love,
Not even the angels above.
But no one could break them up,
For their love was enough,
It showed them that they are not alone,
Even when people shunned them,
They had each other,
They didn’t want to be separated from one another.
Dupree would always say,
Not the moon or the sun can get in his way,
To keep him from his love,
Shaquetta wood,
The person everyone misunderstood.
The person he loved.
Then he got hit by a bus and their love went away
Like a dying flame.
And then the flame came back,
And just like that,
They were spittin’ and spattin’
Rippin’ and rappin’
They were truly meant to be until Dupree
Saw a bee.
He ran away
And didn’t say
