December 21 is the day
All goes away;
Memories of love and laughter
All fade, slowly through their own ways.
As the sun aligns with the moon,
The witches dance, knowing it’s coming soon.
They cackle and laugh as the world comes to an end.
Their backs begin to bend.
They convulse and shout,
Dancing all about.
Fires that rise high
Steal your breath, oh my!
The leaves begin to swirl,
The witches begin to twirl,
Chanting a wicked spell,
Raising their hands to the moon.
Heads lifted, souls shifted,
These women, oh so gifted,
Lead us into the night,
Wrap around our souls so very tight.
We chant to you a song of songs
We are of cheerful joy, if we weren’t, it’d be wrong.
Our eyes flicker a brilliant color,
As we chant once again to our mother.
The dead of night falls,
The earth begins to call,
She burns a bright red,
Finally, it’s the end of all.
