Blissful Books
I have heard from many great men
Many times and time again
That a book can take them far, far away
And keep their real life troubles at bay
A book may be able to do this
Give a false sense of pure bliss
Oh how a book can blind them so well
As if they are under an unbreakable spell
But this false reality in no way helps them
Eventually their souls it will begin to condemn
For those who waste all of their time
In the end regret squandering their prime
When a man who has dedicated his life to reading
Runs into a man whose happiness is far exceeding
He asks “What has made your life go so well?”
The man replies “Nature is the beauty which within I dwell”
