Women are inferior to men

and I refuse to believe that

they can make a difference in the world.

I realize this may be a shock but

"women are more than objects"

is a lie and

"they are only needed for their bodies."

So in 30 years I will tell my daughters

Their actions wont improve the world.

My employers will know that

I have my priorities straight because

men

are more intelligent than

women

I tell you this

from the viewpoints of others

women have confidence

but this will never be true

Smart isn't sexy

experts tell me

20 years from now, I will be celebrating inequality

I do not concede that

I will live in a country of fairness

In the future

men ruling women will be the norm

no longer can it be said that

woman care about their rights

it will be evident that

my generation of women are useless

it is crazy to presume that

women are strong

And all of this will be true unless we choose to REVERSE IT.

The author's comments:

This poem seems very negative and against women, but you need to read it backwards. When reread backwards, the poem explains how women and girls are strong and are worth it. The huge issue between men and women and equality is a very talked about subject and girls just need to know they are powerful, worth it, and smart.
