Not Yet
The man responds not yet
Just not yet
These dime store dusted sunsets
They all fade, just not yet
From all these circles of lighting that sway and fall
I’ve only learned that the ends not yet
These Waters of Sugar and lines of fading white
I look at my window and wonder, why not yet
Green mountains of darkness
That grow without a sound will be silent, just not yet
These windowless mirrors I view will shatter
Just not yet
As the man in bed wonders
Awaking from his slumber, is it now. Not yet
