Im Just A Teenage Girl
Teenage girl locked in her room
Yelling at her mom that she will be out soon
She put in her headphones and hop into bed
Listening to music while shaking her head
Forgetting the bad things that happened today
Forgetting all the bad things she wanted to say
Looking at the wall with her phone in hand
Singing the lyrics to a song of her favorite band
Closing her eyes she allowed her imagination to go wild
Yes she was just a fourteen year old child
Imagining she was the one the song was about
Imagining she was breathing in the same air coming from their mouths
The thought made her the happiest girl you will ever see
But then she opened her eyes to face her reality.

I wrote this poem wondering if I'm the only teenage girl who does this or are there more girls like me out there. I dedicate this poem to teenage girls.
