My Baby Sleeps

Let my baby sleep,
Don’t wake her as you weep.
She likes the open air,
Don’t touch her, not a hair.
Let my baby sleep
Upon the cold of white.
She’s felt the warmth of darkness,
So let her rest in light.
Let my baby sleep,
From light she did not cower.
Lay her in the ground
To grow the pretty flowers.
Let my baby sleep,
Don’t trap her in a box.
She likes the open air,
The wind to kiss her locks.
