my book
My life is a book waiting to be read.
We all have a purpose though all are not best sellers;
Some collect dust on the shelf and feel mislead.
Feel through your days, disoriented, blind
Each chapter, a day of your life. Each page, a memory.
Even if we feel paper thin it’s all in our mind.
Each have a beginning, middle, and end;
Our friends work like publishers
To our wounds they tend.
The book of your life is not like a cage;
You just need the right person
To get lost in each page.
