Death Takes All
Deep in the soul the feeling of despair
Everyone knows but are not prepared
An adversary no one beats
The last hour filled with regrets
He is the one who watches and waits
Tears stream down creased faces
A huddled mass of black
Kind words passed around
Even though it is too late
Storms roll over happy clouds
All memories tainted with sadness
Lingering pain with you forever
Living on until it finds you too
