Experiences
I am a man of many experiences.
I remember the days of my depression.
I would always conceal my pain.
I remember the night,
I tried to go.
But someone wouldn’t let me.
I finally felt wanted,
Freed from the weight of my own mind.
I remember when I found music and reading,
and how they pulled me from my mine.
I loved how they spoke to me,
And made me feel understood.
Music shows a story,
Not many can see.
Novels tell of an experience,
That many ignore.
But I learned to listen,
And see
All of the beauty hidden in the lines.
