Memories
The barn,
Where amazing things are made,
And inventions are created
Many last minute science projects,
And mothers’ day gifts.
Where memories are made.
Cool tools and uncommon machines,
Very disorganized,
But everything has it’s place
Things fixed,
Others destroyed,
Where grandpa leaves his glasses,
His tobacco
Where I would sit as a little girl,
With brass handles and J.M.S,
Where I loved to be with my grandpa
Where I learned what tools were,
And how to use them.
What dirty really was
Where many pants and shirts
Were ruined,
Where I got bruised,
Scraped knees
Where I learned to love simple things,
How to appreciate homemade gifts and the people who made them
How it felt to have a “Mr. Fix It” everywhere I turned
Where we never called a repair man,
Plumber, or electrician
Because HE could do it all
A Jack Of All trades he calls himself-
The barn is a big metal structure with amazing things that I’ll never forget.
