The Thin Line
Everything about me hates everything about you.
It never used to be like this, but
Hate is Love's pesky little cousin
that comes in and ruins something beautiful.
I can’t tell you where it all started.
The hate, I mean.
Just all a sudden I hated
the sound of your voice,
the way you lifted your left eyebrow
ever so slightly when you were confused,
the way you picked up your phone,
the way you chewed your food,
and even the sound of you inhaling and exhaling
the same oxygen as me.
I don’t know where it all started
but,
everything about me hates everything about you.
