I have never seen
A prettier scene
Than a sunny day in October

Where some leaves are brown
And some, falling down
And the sky is clear and sober.

One of two,
This is my favorite
Season of the year.

My reason being,
Is I enjoy seeing
That change is oh so near.

And even though Winter,
Can freeze off your fingers,
The intentions are not so cruel

Cause it's comforting knowing
The grass will start showing
And Spring will bring renewal.

Two of two,
This is my favorite
Season of the four

Because by and by,
And through and through
Spring will heal and restore.

Yet summer will follow
Golden as Apollo
With lightning bolts from Zeus.

But again, after all
Comes the man of Fall that
Aphrodite herself can't seduce.

Once more, we are here
Feeling the chill in the air
And I am one year older

Still, I’ve never seen
A prettier scene
Than a sunny day in October.
