What You Left Behind
Shattered windows, broken doors.
All that’s left is where you were before.
Stealing my soul, along with my memories.
Where you were is now a fantasy.
But who knows what’s around the bend?
Will this all happen again?
Breaking me down, piece by piece. All that’s left is an empty space.
Broken promises and broken dreams, is this all as it seems?
Or am I running only from my dreams?
Running and screaming, I think I’m winning,
But then I get sent right back to the beginning.
Empty spaces, lonely places.
How could you be so selfish?
Was I not worth it?
Patched up window, locked up doors.
There’s no more evidence where you were before.
Memories lost, and my soul repaired.
Now I know, you never cared.
