Hail!
To the early risers.
Hail! Hail!
To the in line since 8AMers,
And the pay anything for iters.
Hail!
To the ones that stay in their seats all game,
Hail!
To the ones that till the clock strikes all 0s.
Hail! Hail!
To the season ticketers,
And to the first-timers.
Hail!
To the freshmen and the seniors,
Hail!
To the young kids and old wise guys.
Hail! Hail!
To the RVs,
And the minivans.
Hail!
To the 110,000 screaming fans
Hail!
To the 22 men on the field.
Hail! Hail!
To the half time go-getters,
And the venders that feed them.
Hail!
To the post game feasts,

To the parking lot football beasts.
Hail! Hail!
To football,
And the leaders and the best!
Here
By Parker Jennings
I come from Michigan football,
And 110,000 fans that bleed maize and blue.
From tailgating food,
And playing catch in a parking lot.
I come from all 30 MLB stadiums,
And road trips across the country.
From Detroit to Boston,
And Cincinnati to Seattle.
I came from backyard baseball,
And a big orange bat with tennis balls.
From smashing homeruns over the swings,
And getting into fights with my cousins.
I come from surviving heart attacks,
And defeating cancer once again.
From hello,
To saying my last goodbye.
I come from iron ore mines,
And acres of farmland.
From Marquette to Swartz Creek,
And now finally here.
The Ticket
By Parker Jennings
Rose Bowl games are for the elite,
And Michigan was the best.
2005 was the year,
I went to see them in the west.
Michigan vs. Texas,
Wolverines vs. Longhorns.
It was a back and forth battle,
Until the final horn.
Texas kicked a last second field goal,
And left Michigan roseless.
Dang-it Lloyd Carr,
Why’d you have to be so careless?
After the defeat,
We were as silent as crickets.
But still to this day,
I still have this ticket.
