What we are
What we are Terrence Love
I am a man of violence,
Not to be confused with a violent man,
I do not create violence,
However I will sit and watch,
With no emotion shown,
While we tear each other apart,
Through desperation,
Through fear.
I am no man of god,
I do not let religion blind me,
From what we were,
What we are,
And what we will always be.
I am not the good guy,
I never have been,
And I never will be,
But who is the good guy anymore?
We are all villains,
To ourselves,
And to each other.
I am a dead man,
I am dead because violence is a lot more horrid,
When we are alive,
We must learn how to shove it off,
To ignore the monsters that is we,
The people,
The villains,
We must accept that there is no end to it,
No escaping it,
Because it is us,
We are violence.
I am without a soul,
Because having one is too much of a burden,
Too much responsibility,
I do however have a heart,
The people I love must understand,
They will be protected from that violence at all costs,
Even if it costs a life,
Even if,
That life is mine.
