Fall, gold leaves' luster shines bright

Like a divine cross

They show a great life

Show love in a grand color.

Fall, branches stripped of beauty

Nude in their raw form

Twigs stretch from cold earth

Winter's darkness soon arrives.

Fall, sun shines before the dark

Sends light through the world

Before winter comes

To help warm against the cold.

Fall, black dims the forest green

Death creeps up oak trunks

Trees turn stiff, lifeless

Lasting evil comes to life.
