Child Of War
soy una niña de guerra
una guerrera sin armas y sangre
una guerrera de amor
mi madre no pudo darme amor
y mi corazón estaba frágil
pero mis costillas estaban fuerte.
y mi mente y mis sentimientos.
y sin amor voy a pelear
con mi voz y mis palabras
una soldada de amor
English version
I am a child of war.
A warrior without weapons or blood.
A warrior of love.
My mother couldn’t give me love and my heart was fragile.
But my ribs were strong, and my mind and my feelings.
And without love I will fight with my voice and my words.
A soldier of love.

I wrote this piece in Costa Rica for my Spanish class yet I wrote it completly in Spanish and only translated it recently. I am not fluent in Spanish so writing this was a big accomplishment for me.
