Stick

We all have it.
We all need it.
The things we stick ourselves to,
are what make up our being.
People, pleasure, morals.
All of it.
It’s crazy how many things we choose
To use our adhesive for.
We stick ourselves to things that really have No interest in being stuck to.
And so they tear us off and toss us aside.
So that now we are left with less of the glue
That we had before
Occasionally though we stick to someone That sticks to us back.
Constantly holding each other up.
Protecting that which holds us together.
