"The only cure for grief is action"-George Henry Lewes

When there is no stars, no sun,
Only bad deeds will be done,
Good intentions will be forgotten,
Food and people will turn rotten,
Miles and miles of it we can see,
Darkness is just laid out for me.

No light to spark our day,
Bites and blood will not delay,
But rush out at full speed,
Reaching out to everyone like a weed,
And miles and miles of it we can see,
Darkness is just laid out for me.

Pitch black eyes with a haunting stare,
Demons and humans will become a pair,
Streets will be left on fire,
For all these creatures have no desire,
But miles and miles of it we can see,
Darkness is just laid out for me.

The moon is too scared to scare,
The weight of evil will be too much to bear,
Night will stay along with owls,
And along with animals whom make loud growls,
And miles and miles of it we can see,
Darkness is just laid out for me.

The world will be made of black and white,
And here right now only black is right,
And you will find yourself waiting for you to die,
And everyone smirks and says goodbye,
And miles and miles of it we can see,
Darkness is just laid out for me.

Vampires and ghosts are the first to frighten,
but they are not smart, not the bit enlightened,
So you use your wits and hide,
But then they will come over the hill with a tide,
And miles and miles of it we can see,
Darkness is just laid out for me.

Miles and Miles of it we can see,
Darkness is just laid out for me.

Halloween is coming up soon, and although I wrote this awhile ago, I felt it fitting to share it around this time of year, when everyone's getting in the mood for the best holiday of the year (in my opinion).
