The Owl
With eagle eyes,
As sharp as knives,
See through the night,
And feathers let it be swift in flight.
To dive from the branches from trees within,
A flying thunder of fury in the wind.
Its beak that is a sharp sword,
Its talons fly forth when being called.
It grabs its prey without worry,
Its prey in fear upon its fury.
However one day,
The sky was dark grey.
With its prey being trapped,
Which was a rat,
That struggled and broke off,
Through a hole in the claws.
The owl astonished,
It stood still with shock,
While the rat hushed as it rushed,
Into a hole and immediately mocked:
“What a weak owl you are to fail that,
as you cannot even catch a rat!”
The owl embarrassed,
Shrieked out “Hush!”
And flew away to someplace else,
Never to be seen again chasing a mouse.
