Twilight
I look at the sun setting, every twilight, my mind wanders to you;
Your warm breath;
How you could sigh;
Tall and strong, you were my unbreakable spirit;
My only love, my only life, together we would gallop free, faster then the wind keeping each other strong;
But time was a bomb, I never thought you could be gone;
The the circle of life finally took it's toll, time, why couldn't we have had more;
I didn't know what I had until it was dust, or was it that I never thought I would loose you;
But how was I to know you were sick beyond repair;
I was selfish, I wanted to keep you, just to keep me happy;
But, I guess all miracles break down, all good things must come to an end,
‘They’ say ‘from all bad things come something grand’;
Every twilight turns to dark;
I miss your warm beating heart, your elegance, your power, your grace, and your face;
but most of all... I just miss you!
