Faith

She flickers every time I am alone,
Stays suspended within my heart
Soars like a bird every time I am judged,
Her sweet song soothes me in the dark,

I must trust in myself, and believe in faith,
For she never falters and she never dies,
She drowns out the threats, and the crashing storms,
But lets the warm fire burn inside.

She circles all the hope in love and life,
And never leaves anyone alone,
And when we fall she waits to catch us,
But she never asks to be caught when she's thrown.

When we continue to doubt ourselves,
Or are forced down a dark pathway
We just have to listen to her song inside us
And trust in faith always.
