I met you online,
Only knew you by a username.
But it didn’t take long,
For my heart to erupt in flames.
I didn’t know what you looked like. I fell in love with your words.
I tried to follow your breadcrumb trail,
But it was only for the birds.
I made myself vulnerable.
You still remained a mystery. Saddened, I deleted everything.
I thought we were history.
But you still remain in my thoughts,
And I wonder what you’d do
If I stumbled across your writing And tried to re-contact you.
